UFC on FOX 22 pre-fight facts: Urijah Faber's glowing stat sheet ahead of retirement fight

A matchup of strawweight contenders headlines the FOX-televised main card, which follows prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass. Cole Miller

Cole Miller (21-10 MMA, 10-8 UFC) is 3-5 with one no-contest since he dropped to the UFC featherweight division in March 2012.

Miller’s seven submission victories in UFC competition are tied for fifth most in modern company history behind Nate Diaz (nine), Demian Maia (nine), Frank Mir (eight) and Charles Oliveira (eight).

Miller’s 10 submission attempts against Leonard Garcia at UFC Fight Night 11 are a single-fight UFC record.

Colby Covington

Bryan Barberena

Bryan Barberena (12-3 MMA, 3-1 UFC) is one of seven fighters in UFC history to earn an arm-triangle submission from either half or full guard. He accomplished the feat against Northcutt at UFC on FOX 18.

James Moontasri (9-4 MMA, 2-3 UFC) is 1-1 since he moved to the UFC welterweight division in November 2015.

Moontasri is one of four fighters in UFC history to earn a victory stemming from a spinning back kick to the body. David Loiseau, Dennis Siver and Jake Collier also accomplished the feat.

Leslie Smith

Leslie Smith (8-7-1 MMA, 2-3 UFC) has alternated wins and losses over her five-fight UFC career. She lost to Cristiane Justino in her most recent fight.

Smith combined for 281 significant strikes landed with Sarah Kaufman at the TUF Nations Finale, the second most ever landed in a women’s bantamweight fight behind Jessica Andrade vs. Rosi Sexton at UFC Fight Night 30 (294).

Takeya Mizugaki (21-10-2 MMA, 8-5 UFC) competes in his 18th UFC/WEC bantamweight bout, tied with Scott Jorgensen for the most appearances in combined divisional history.

Mizugaki’s eight victories in UFC bantamweight competition are tied for third most in divisional history behind Faber (nine) and Dillashaw (nine).

Takeya Mizugaki

Mizugaki’s 10 victories in UFC/WEC bantamweight competition are tied for second most in combined divisional history behind Cruz (12).

Mizugaki has earned seven of his eight UFC victories by decision. He has defeated his opponent by going the distance in 15 of 21 career victories.

Mizugaki’s 152 significant strikes landed against Nam Phan at UFC Fight Night 33 stand as the single-fight UFC/WEC bantamweight record.

Eddie Wineland
