The UFC will return to Macao, China, for a fight card at the Cotai Arena on Aug. 23, UFC President Dana White announced on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Headlining the card will be a middleweight fight between local favorite Cung Le and Michael Bisping. The co-main event will see Hector Lombard take on Dong Hyun Kim.
Le (9-2) last fought in November of 2012, a fight that saw him knock out former middleweight title holder Rich Franklin. Le’s win over Franklin, much like the Aug. 23 card, took place in Macao.
Bisping (24-6) comes into the August fight off a loss in his last effort, a unanimous decision to Tim Kennedy last month. “The Count” has dropped two of his last three outings.
Lombard (34-4-1, 1 NC) and Kim (19-2-1, 1 NC) both look to continue their win streaks with the Macao card. Lombard has won two in a row, while Kim doubles that streak at four.
