T.J. Dillashaw and Dominick Cruz are ready to headline the first ever FOX Sports 1 UFC Fight Night card to feature a championship bout in the main event following Saturday’s weigh-in event in Boston.
Dillashaw holds the UFC bantamweight championship, but will be putting it on the line against former champ Cruz. The interesting part of this match-up – beyond a clash in styles – is that Cruz never lost the bantamweight belt. He was stripped of the title after struggling through various injuries and having to withdraw from numerous bouts over the past four years.
Cruz will finally get the opportunity to earn back the belt he never lost, while Dillashaw has a chance to proclaim himself the top bantamweight fighter in the world.
