The 2015 trend continues for the MMAjunkie staff members’ UFC event picks – which once again are pretty closely matched.
For UFC Fight Night 64, which takes place Saturday at Tauron Arena in Krakow, Poland, and streams on UFC Fight Pass, we have two unanimous picks and two fights that amount to blowouts on the main card.
In the main event rematch, all nine of our pickers expect Gabriel Gonzaga (16-9 MMA, 11-8 UFC) to beat Mirko Filipovic (30-11-2 MMA, 4-6 UFC) once again. In 2007, Gonzaga shocked the MMA world with a head-kick knockout of “Cro Cop” to get a heavyweight title shot.
And to open the four-fight main card, all nine staffers think Joanne Calderwood (9-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) will top short-notice replacement fighter Maryna Moroz (5-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), who is making her UFC debut.
Pawel Pawlak (10-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC), who is fighting in his home country, has just one person picking him to beat Sheldon Westcott (8-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC). And in the co-main event, Jimi Manuwa (14-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) has six votes on his side against Jan Blachowicz (18-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC), who has three picking him to win a mild upset.
Check out all the picks above. Additionally, leave your main-card picks below. As usual, MMAjunkie reader “IAMMA” is organizing the MMAjunkie Member Picks, where the battle for the lead is neck-and-neck.
