ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Can we go ahead and award MMA’s Robbery of the Year for 2014?

Diego Sanchez (25-7 MMA, 14-7 UFC) somehow picked up a split-decision victory over Ross Pearson (15-7 MMA, 7-4 UFC), even though it was clear to everyone but two cageside judges that he didn’t deserve the win.

The lightweight bout co-headlined Saturday’s FOX Sports 1-televised UFC Fight Night 42 event, which took place at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, N.M.
