UFC Fight Night 26 weigh-ins set for Aug. 16 in Boston, Rousey hosts Q&A


ronda-rousey-18.jpgOfficial fighter weigh-ins for the UFC’s first event on the new FOX Sports 1 cable network are slated for Aug. 16 at TD Garden in Boston.

The same venue then hosts the following night’s event, UFC Fight Night 26, which features a main event light heavyweight fight between former two-division title challenger Chael Sonnen and former champion Mauricio Rua. In the co-main event, former Striketorce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem meets contender Travis Browne.

The six-fight main card airs live on FOX Sports 1 (8 p.m. ET) following a four-fight preliminary card (6 p.m. ET) on the same channel and three fights on Facebook (4:30 p.m. ET)

The first fighter steps on the scale at 4 p.m. ET local time, and doors open to the public at 3 p.m. The weigh-ins are free and open to the public.

Prior to the weigh-ins, UFC Fight Club members are invited to a Q&A session with women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey, who this fall coaches opposite Miesha Tate on Season 18 of “The Ultimate Fighter.” The two then fight for Rousey’s title Dec. 28 in the co-main event of UFC 168.

Doors for the Q&A open to Fight Club members at 1 p.m. ET with the Q&A taking place at 2 p.m.
