Check out the “Fight Motion” super-slow-motion highlights from Saturday’s UFC 205 event – though one major bout was left out.
“Fight Motion” captured the action from the monumental pay-per-view event, which took place at Madison Square Garden as part of the UFC’s long-awaited New York City debut.
The highlights include all the slow-mo carnage from the night’s three title fights. Conor McGregor (21-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) scored a second-round TKO win over Eddie Alvarez (28-5 MMA, 3-2 UFC) to become a two-division champ, welterweight titleholder Tyron Woodley (16-3-1 MMA, 6-2-1 UFC) and challenger Stephen Thompson (13-1-1 MMA, 8-1-1 UFC) put on a “Fight of the Night” performance in a majority draw, and strawweight champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk (13-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) ate some shots but earned her fourth straight title defense with a decision victory over Karolina Kowalkiewicz (10-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC).
However – and perhaps mercifully – the slow-mo highlights don’t include the brutal third-round knee that middleweight contender Yoel Romero (13-1 MMA, 8-0 UFC) used to bloody up and stop ex-champ Chris Weidman (13-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC), though you can see the photos and video highlights (via YouTube) below.
Meanwhile, check out the full “Fight Motion” video above.
