UFC 196 Embedded,' No. 2: Tate does media, Diaz is OG martial artist, McGregor meets Royce

It’s fight week in Las Vegas, and “Embedded” has returned to preview Saturday’s big UFC 196 event.

The online series previews the card, which takes place at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.

In the main event, featherweight champion Conor McGregor (19-2 MMA, 7-0 UFC), who was originally slated to challenge for Rafael dos Anjos’ lightweight title, moves up to welterweight for a bout with late replacement Nate Diaz (18-10 MMA, 13-8 UFC). In the co-headliner, women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm (10-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) looks for her first title defense when she meets Miesha Tate (17-5 MMA, 4-2 UFC).

In the second episode, Tate does the media rounds and promises a “dirty” and grueling bout with Holm, who wraps up her preparations at Jackson-Wink MMA before heading to Vegas. Additionally, Diaz says he was ahead of the curve when it comes to McGregor and his movement coach since he’s a “true” martial artist. McGregor, meanwhile, is enjoying his “full belly” and spends some time with UFC Hall of Famer Royce Gracie.
