'UFC 185 Embedded,' No. 2: Brown Skypes home, Hendricks' steakhouse, Pettis' shoes

In the second episode of “UFC 185 Embedded,” which previews Saturday’s pay-per-view event, we head to the fighters’ homes before their ventures to Texas.

The online series previews Saturday’s PPV card at American Airlines Center in Dallas, including the co-headliners of lightweight champion Anthony Pettis (18-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) vs. Rafael dos Anjos (23-7 MMA, 12-5 UFC) and women’s strawweight champ Carla Esparza (10-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) vs. Joanna Jedrzejczyk (8-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC).

However, in this episode, we also get a good look at two welterweights in an intriguing main-card bout: Matt Brown (19-12 MMA, 12-7 UFC) vs. former champ Johny Hendricks (16-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC). Brown Skypes home for dad duties, and, while dining in his new steakhouse, Hendricks discusses the joys of fighting close to home.

Additionally, Pettis takes us inside his home (and an impressive shoe collection) while little brother and fellow UFC fighter Sergio Pettis (12-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC), who meets Ryan Benoit (7-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) on Saturday, share a meal. The older Pettis’ opponent, dos Anjos, also says goodbye to his family in California.
