'UFC 182 Embedded,' No. 5: Steven Seagal is still a thing; CM Punk meets the fans

In the fifth installment of “UFC 182 Embedded,” we take a brief look at the weigh-ins with Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier, but a couple other familiar faces make an appearance.

The online series previews tonight’s pay-per-view event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, where light heavyweight champion Jones (20-1 MMA, 14-1 UFC) looks for his eighth consecutive title defense when he takes on undefeated Cormier (15-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC).

The latest “Embedded” takes us to Friday’s weigh-ins, which proved rather bizarre when the headliners wouldn’t look at each other on stage (watch it below). Jones and Cormier then got heated backstage during the UFC 182 fighters meeting.

But “Embedded” also includes a spot with Steven Seagal, who demands that the cameras be turned off so he can teach Cormier some oh-so-secret moves he can use to beat Jones. (Sigh.)

UFC newcomer and former WWE star Phil “CM Punk” Brooks also swings by the series as he prepares for what proved to be an immensely awkward Q&A session. Despite the potential disaster, Punk was quite the entertainer and salvaged the session.
