UFC 178: Donald Cerrone vs. Eddie Alvarez fight video highlights

LAS VEGAS – Donald Cerrone got one of his stiffest tests yet in the UFC, and he passed.

Cerrone (25-6 MMA, 12-3 UFC) took a unanimous decision from promotional newcomer Eddie Alvarez (25-4 MMA, 0-1 UFC) in the UFC 178 co-main event on Saturday. Alvarez signed with the UFC after being released from his Bellator MMA contract. He was the lightweight champion in that promotion. A brutal kickboxing attack paved the way for Cerrone – though he had to survive a rough first round and some punishment from Alvarez.
