Holdsworth was originally scheduled to face Kyung Ho Kang at UFC 173, but the South Korean was forced to withdraw from the 135-pound bout for undisclosed reasons. As a result, Holdsworth will square off against Chico Camus on May 24, the promotion recently announced.
UFC 173 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and is headlined by a bantamweight title clash between Renan Barao and T.J. Dillashaw. The pay-per-view’s co-main event pits Junior dos Santos against Stipe Miocic in a heavyweight bout.
Holdsworth made his promotional debut at the “TUF 18” finale, where he submitted Davey Grant with a rear-naked choke 2:10 into round two. Camus, meanwhile, has been victorious in three of his four UFC bouts, most recently outpointing Yaotzin Meza at UFC on Fox 10 in January.
