Sean Strickland:
“I really wanted to stand and bang with him since this is my debut. I wanted to go out there and finish it for the fans. I’m a ground guy first and foremost so being able to showcase my striking was important to me. After I clipped him with a couple good shots he made it clear that he wanted to go to the ground. I was totally good with that because I knew my submission game is better than his. Luckily, I was able to lock in the choke and get the win. Can’t wait for the next one!”
Bubba McDaniel:
“I fought terribly. This is the second fight in a row that I’ve lost and I should’ve won them both. It’s very frustrating.”
