UFC 167 Weigh-in Results: 20th Anniversary Set, Georges St-Pierre and Johny Hendricks On Weight

Georges St-Pierre vs Johny HendricksFollowing Friday’s UFC 167 weigh-ins in Las Vegas, UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre is set to put his title on the line against one of his most dangerous opponents to date, Johny Hendricks.

Rashad Evans vs Chael SonnenWhile St-Pierre is one of the most successful fighters in the history of the sport, Hendricks has the wrestling ability that may negate St-Pierre’s prowess, plus, Hendricks has one-punch knockout power in both hands. After weighing in on Friday, the two will finally step into the Octagon at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Saturday to see who will prevail.

Hendricks expects to use the power in his hands to end the fight and become the new champ.

“I’m gonna knock him out,” he said after weighing in, boos raining down from the Las Vegas crowd. “That’s all I want to do. You can boo all you want, but you’ll be cheering tomorrow.”

St-Pierre, known for going the distance in many of his fights, seems to think that his next defense could be a short fight.

“My toughest test ever,” said St-Pierre. “But dont blink, it’s gonna be a good fight.”

Also donning the UFC’s 20th Anniversary fight card is a light heavyweight showdown between friends and Fox co-workers Chael Sonnen and Rashad Evans, as well as a pivotal welterweight fight between Rory MacDonald and Robbie Lawler.
