As a reminder, this month’s UFC 166, which features a heavyweight title trilogy bout, gets a “UFC Primetime” special.
The three-part “UFC Primetime: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos III” series debuts Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1. It previews the upcoming title fight between champion Cain Velasquez (12-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC) and former champ and challenger Junior dos Santos (16-2 MMA, 10-1 UFC).
Other airings of the show throughout the FOX family of networks air on FOX Sports 2, as well as FOX Sports regional cable networks. Check your local listings for exact times for your cable or satellite provider.
The final two episodes of the three-part series will debut next week and the week of the fight. Wednesday’s premiere episode follows a new episode of “UFC Tonight” and “UFC Ultimate Insider” and airs ahead of a replay of this past week’s fourth episode of “The Ultimate Fighter,” which precedes Wednesday’s new fifth episode of the season.
UFC 166 takes place Oct. 19 at Toyota Center in Houston. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and Facebook.
The UFC most recently featured a “Primetime” special for February’s UFC 157 event, which saw UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey submit Liz Carmouche with a first-round armbar.
