UFC 164 set for Aug. 31 at Milwaukee's Bradley Center

UFC President Dana White today announced the new event, though there are currently no rumored fights for the card, which serves as the latest in the promotion’s “Hometown Throwdown” series. The evening’s main card will air on pay-per-view.

The UFC first visited Milwaukee in August 2011 for “UFC on Versus 5: Hardy vs. Lytle,” which drew a reported 6,751 fans for a $539,000 gate.

The new fight card was announced at Thursday’s UFC 158 pre-event presser. Milwaukee is the home of longtime UFC sponsor Harley-Davidson, which White announce re-upped with another long-term deal with the promotion.

Brew City is also known in MMA circles as the home of Duke Roufus’ Roufusport Mixed Martial Arts Academy, the primary training center for Anthony Pettis, Erik koch, Ben Askren and Chico Camus, among others.
