The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale live and official fighter weigh-in results


urijah-faber-scott-jorgensen.jpgLAS VEGAS – MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) was on scene and reporting live from today’s official fighter weigh-ins for The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale, where all but one fighter made weight on the first attempt.

The festivities took place at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino’s Hollywood Theatre in Las Vegas. Saturday’s fight card takes place at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas with a main card on FX following prelims on FUEL TV and Facebook.

Headliners Urijah Faber (27-6 MMA, 3-2 UFC) and Scott Jorgensen (14-6 MMA, 3-2 UFC) each were on target for their main-event bantamweight fight. Faber came in at 136 pounds, while Jorgensen was 135.5.

In the co-main event, middleweights Kelvin Gastelum (4-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Uriah Hall (7-2 MMA, 0-0 UFC), who meet in the “TUF 17? tournament final, where on the mark at 186 and 185, respectively.

And in the second women’s fight in UFC history, bantamweight contenders Miesha Tate (13-3 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Cat Zingano (7-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) engaged in an intense staredown after stepping off the scale. Tate was 135.5; Zingano was 136. The winner earns a coaching spot on Season 18 of “The Ultimate Fighter” opposite women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey with a title shot following.

Only Maximo Blanco missed the mark on his first attempt. He came in at 147 pounds for his featherweight bout against Sam Sicilia and was given one hour to cut the extra pound. He returned to the scale and was on target at 146.

* Blanco was 147 on his first attempt. He was given one hour to cut to the featherweight max and made weight on his second attempt.
