Two bouts from next week’s UFC Fight Night 27 event have been promoted to higher-profile spots on the fight card.
Following Sarah Kaufman‘s official removal from the card after a replacement couldn’t be found for injured Sara McMann, a bantamweight bout between Takeya Mizugaki (17-7-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) and Erik Perez (13-4 MMA, 3-0 UFC) has been promoted to the FOX Sports 1-televised main card.
Additionally, a welterweight bout of James Head (9-3 MMA, 2-2 UFC) vs. Jason High (16-4 MMA, 0-2 UFC) has taken the Mizugaki-Perez spot on the FOX Sports 2-televised preliminary card following a promotion from the Facebook prelims.
UFC Fight Night 27 takes place next Wednesday, Aug. 28, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
The event currently boasts 12 fights, though as MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) reported Tuesday, a 13th bout may still be added to the lineup.
