The Ultimate Fighter Season 17 runner-up Uriah Hall is back in action. He’ll square off in a middleweight bout against Nick Ring at UFC on Fox Sports 1: 1 on Aug. 17 in Boston.
UFC officials announced the bout early Friday morning.
Hall (7-3) is the former Ring of Combat middleweight champion, making his way to the UFC via The Ultimate Fighter: Team Jones vs. Team Sonnen. A member of Chael Sonnen’s team, Hall was a heavy favorite going into the show’s finale, but lost a split decision to teammate Kevin Gastelum.
Ring (13-2) made his way to the UFC via an unblemished 10-0 professional record. He continued his winning ways in his first two bouts on the Octagon, but has lost two of his three most recent bouts.
Ring enters the fight with Hall coming off of a split decision loss to Chris Camozzi at UFC 158: St-Pierre vs. Diaz.
The UFC on Fox Sports 1: 1 fight card does not yet have an announced main event.
Fox Sports 1 is the new sports network from Fox that launches on Aug. 17. The UFC is slated to be a cornerstone of the network’s programming.
