Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey Weigh-in Results


Strikeforce returns to Ohio for Strikeforce: Tate vs. Rousey. The fights take place Saturday night at the Nationwide Arena, but first, the fighters had to weigh in on Friday afternoon.

The card is headlined by the Strikeforce bantamweight title bout between current champion Miesha Tate and challenger Ronda Rousey.

There has been a lot of chatter leading up to the main event. Tate is a veteran that doesn’t believe here much less experience challenger is deserving of a shot at the title. Rousey, a former Olympic medalist in judo, feels like Tate may be overlooking her and is ready to prove that she belongs by taking her belt.

Saturday night will tell the tale, as the fight is now official with both athletes making weight. Tate and Rousey both tipped the scale at 134.5 pounds, a half-pound under the limit for their title fight.

The rest of the card also made weight without incident.
