With the cuts and bruises on his face after a three-round battle with former Strikeforce light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi on Saturday night, those words from UFC veteran Keith Jardine carried a lot of weight.
He fought hard for the full 15 minutes of their fight, but in the end, even with a one-point deduction from Mousasi, Jardine walked away with a majority draw on his record.
Yes, he fought admirably. And, yes, it was on short notice. But in the end, Jardine still wants to win.
