Round 2: Smith lands a jab and misses with a big right.  Kennedy moves in and they clinch.  Smith presses Kennedy against the cage.  Smith lands punches to the body.  Kennedy answers with a knee to the body.  Kennedy turns him and secures a trip takedown. Kennedy works inside Smith’s half guard.  Kennedy lands short punches to the body and head.  Smith scrambles.  Kennedy remains in control.  Kennedy lands an elbow to the body.  Kennedy works punches and elbows to the ribs of Smith.  The referee stands them up with a minute remaining in the round.  Kennedy delivers a kick to the body.  Smith catches it and works for a single leg takdown.  Kennedy stuffs it and lands punches and hammer fists.  Smith stands and drops down for a guillotine choke at the bell.  MMAWeekly scores the round 10-9 for Kennedy.

Round 3: Kennedy lands a jab and a right hand.  Smith presses forward and pushes Kennedy to the cage.  Kennedy lands a couple of knees to the body and Smith backs away.  Smith looks to be slowing down.  Kennedy moves in with two uppercuts.  Smith drops down for a takedown against the cage.  Kennedy applies a guillotine choke and drops to the canvas.  It’s in tight.  Smith is forced to tap out.
