Two new fights have been added to the upcoming Strikeforce Challengers fight cards.
The first bout, set for July 22, will be light heavyweight prospect Lionel Lanham facing Guto Inocente at Strikeforce Challengers 17.
Lionel Lanham is the latest prospect to come out of New Mexico where he trains under former UFC light heavyweight contender Keith Jardine. At 3-0, he will look to keep his record perfect in July when he makes his Strikeforce debut.
Facing Lanham will be Carlos Augusto ‘Guto’ Inocente, who also make his Strikeforce debut. Inocente is a training partner of fellow Strikeforce fighters Gesias “JZ” Cavalcante, Danillo and Yuri Villefort at their gym Imperial Athletics in Florida.
The other fight will be a lightweight match-up added to the Aug. 12 Strikeforce Challengers 18 fight card taking place in Las Vegas. Pat Healy returns to action to face Eric Wisely.
Healy is one of the most seasoned veterans on the Strikeforce roster. Throughout his career, he has picked up wins over several notable names including Carlos Condit, Ryan Ford, and most recently Lyle Beerbohm.
Eric Wisely makes his Strikeforce debut, but has a lot of previous experience in the cage including victories over former UFC title contender Hermes Franca and Matt Veach.
