These days, it seems fighter pay and sponsorship challenges are two of the hottest topics in MMA. At least one top UFC contender doesn’t understand why.
This past weekend, top-ranked heavyweight Travis Browne took part in a UFC Fight Club Q&A session, and the Hawaiian slugger said he’s never struggled to score supportive sponsors. But Browne said there’s an important reason why, and he hopes other fighters will make sure and follow the same path.

Browne (16-1-1 MMA, 7-1-1 UFC) fights next in April, where he meets Fabricio Werdum (17-5-1 MMA, 5-2 UFC) in the main event of UFC on FOX 11. The winner is expected to challenge for the UFC’s heavyweight title later this year.
