Speed Bag: Who's Colorado commission kidding with suspension of WSOF's Justin Gaethje?

WSOF lightweight champion Justin Gaethje kept on rolling this past weekend with another title defense. But now he finds himself in a little bit of hot water.

After his first-round TKO win over Brian Foster (25-9) in the WSOF 29 main event, Gaethje (16-0) climbed to the top of the fence and did a backflip into the cage – like he’s done before. But the problem was, the Colorado State Boxing Commission reportedly warned him before the fight that if he celebrated in that way, he’d be in for some sanctions.

When he did it anyway, the CSBC handed him an indefinite suspension for what it termed as unsportsmanlike conduct.

MMAjunkie’s Ben Fowlkes dives into the whole “unsportsmanlike” argument and tries to figure out just what the CSBC is trying to prove by dropping a suspension down on WSOF’s most dominant champion.

Fowlkes discusses Gaethje’s suspension in the latest edition of Speed Bag. Check it out above. And don’t miss the highlights of his win over Foster below.
