Former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger and current contender Cat Zingano is the subject of tonight’s episode of “Religion of Sports.”
The show airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Audience, a channel available on DirecTV and AT&T U-verse.
The episode, dubbed “Alpha & Omega,” details Zingano’s life in and out of the cage, including the “trials and tribulations she had to go through with her husband committing suicide and raising her son as a single mom who is also an MMA fighter,” according to an episode listing.
A preview is available above.
NFL great Tom Brady, NFL Hall of Famer Michael Strahan and Gotham Chopra produce the show. It debuted earlier this month.
Zingano (9-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC), who opened her career with a 9-0 run and won some regional titles, was last in action in July, when she followed up a title loss to then-champ Ronda Rousey at UFC 184 with a decision defeat to Julianna Pena at UFC 200. She’s currently No. 6 in the USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA women’s bantamweight rankings.
