Saturday's UFC Fight Night 37 lineup loses a bout

Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 37 event has lost one of its about, UFC officials today announced.

A bantamweight contest between Roland Delorme (9-2 MMA, 3-1 UFC) and “The Ultimate Fighter 18? finalist Davey Grant (8-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC) has been scratched from the card.

A reason wasn’t immediately given. However, officials later confirmed Grant suffered a torn meniscus that doctors ultimately discovered when his test results came back today. Both fighters made weight earlier today.

UFC Fight Night 37 takes place at London’s O2 Arena. The event streams live on UFC Fight Pass. Delorme vs. Grant was slated as the third fight on the preliminary card.

The event will now continue with nine bouts.

Delorme was returning to action after suffering a disappointing split-decision loss to Alex Caceres at September’s UFC 165 event. The defeat snapped what was an official three-fight winning streak, though it included a loss to Francisco Rivera that was later overturned to a no-contest when Rivera failed a post-fight drug test.

Meanwhile, Grant made it to the “TUF 18? tournament final by defeating Louis Fisette in the quarterfinals and then earning a bye in the semifinal round when Anthony Gutierrez failed to make weight for the contest. However, Grant lost in the tourney final to show winner Chris Holdsworth and still seeks his first official UFC win.
