Rousey training partner Marina Shafir meets 'Four Horsewomen' enemy Amanda Bell

amanda-bell-300.jpgBethe Correia isn’t the only fighter gunning for the “Four Horsewomen.” Women’s featherweight Amanda Bell also hopes to take down another member of the team.

Bell’s (1-2) rep announced she has signed a deal to fight Ronda Rousey training partner and “The Ultimate Fighter 18? coach Marina Shafir (1-0) at next month’s Chaos at the Casino 5, which takes place Aug. 10 in Los Angeles.

Bell’s management firm, RYSE Sports Management, recently announced the bout to MMAjunkie. A text to a member of Shafir’s camp wasn’t immediately returned.

Shafir makes a return appearance for the Southern California promotion, which hosts events at Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood, Calif. She made her professional debut this past April with a win worthy of her friend and famous training partner, submitting Chandra Engel by armbar in under two minutes.

Bell, of course, hopes to steal a bit of that shine. So far, her history with Rousey’s squad is encouraging. In her final amateur fight, Bell stopped “TUF 18? vet and current UFC bantamweight Jessamyn Duke via third-round TKO.

After back-to-back losses marked the beginning of her pro career, Bell picked up a second-round submission this past April on the regional circuit.

As an amateur, Shafir won five straight with all but one victory coming by way of armbar. She trains in Los Angeles with Rousey, Duke and Shayna Baszler, who meets Correia at next month’s UFC 177 in Sacramento, Calif., as part of the Brazilian’s quest to defeat the quartet of fighters.
