The referee and judge assignments are set for this month’s UFC 207 event.
During today’s meeting of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, the officials were chosen for the year-end pay-per-view event, which takes place Dec. 30 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Those officials will handle the night’s two title fights: women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes (13-4 MMA, 6-1 UFC) vs. Ronda Rousey (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) in the headliner, and bantamweight champ Dominick Cruz (22-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) vs. Cody Garbrandt (10-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) in the co-headliner.
Veteran referee Herb Dean will officiate Nunes vs. Rousey. Judges Adalaide Byrd, Sal D’Amato and Chris Lee will score the fight.
Meanwhile, fellow ref John McCarthy will be the third man in the cage for Cruz vs. Garbrandt. The judges include Derek Cleary, Jeff Mullen and Tony Weeks.
Neither camp objected to the proposed selections, which were then quickly approved.
