RFA 11 main card takes shape with Toner vs. Thompson, Machida vs. Wood

The main card has taken shape for next month’s RFA 11 event, which airs on AXS TV.

As previously announced, the event takes place Nov. 22 at 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colo. In the headliner, former Bellator champ Zach Makovsky (15-4) and Matt Manzanares (7-1) fight for the organization’s flyweight title, which Sergio Pettis recently vacated after signing with the UFC.

In the co-headliner, Alvin Robinson (14-7), a four-fight UFC veteran, meets undefeated Brazilian featherweight Raoni Barcelos (6-0).

A new addition includes UFC, WEC and Strikeforce veteran Tyler Toner (14-5), a Colorado native who’s spent most of his post-Zuffa career competing in the state, against undefeated local featherweight prospect Tommy Thompson (6-0), who knocked out Joey Banks in 20 seconds at RFA 7.

Also on the card is featherweight Chinzo Machida (1-2), who’s a karate specialist like younger brother and former UFC champ Lyoto Machida. He looks to end a two-fight skid when he meets former NCAA Division I wrestler Brian Wood (4-3), who looks for his fourth consecutive victory.

Rounding out the main card are middleweights Vinnie Lopez (7-6) vs. Lucas Rota (7-5) and bantamweights Scott Ingram (0-0) vs. Danny Mainus (2-1).

The latest RFA 11 card now includes:

• Matt Manzanares vs. Zach Makovsky – for vacant flyweight title
• Raoni Barcelos vs. Alvin Robinson
• Tommy Thompson vs. Tyler Toner
• Chinzo Machida vs. Brian Wood
