A welterweight bout between Paulo Thiago and Brandon Thatch has been agreed to for UFC Fight Night 32: Belfort vs. Henderson on Nov. 9 in Goiania, Brazil.
Thiago tweeted about the match-up over the weekend. Thatch’s manager, Sven Been, confirmed to MMAWeekly.com that the fight has been agreed to, but said they are awaiting a contract for the bout.
Thiago (15-5) recently got back on the winning track with a victory over Michel Prazeres at UFC on FX 8 in May. That win followed a skid where the Brazilian lost four out of his previous five fights.
He’ll be looking to the fight with Thatch to keep the momentum building, but the Coloradoan proved in his UFC debut that he’s not going to be an easy target.
Thatch is 10-1 in his career and has finished every opponent that he’s beaten. That includes his first-round TKO stoppage of Justin Edwards in his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 27 last month in Indianapolis.
A five-round light heavyweight bout between Vitor Belfort and Dan Henderson headlines the UFC Fight Night 32 card.
