A flyweight bout between Paddy Holohan (11-1-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) and Vaughan Lee (14-10-1 MMA, 4-3 UFC) is the latest addition to UFC Fight Night 72’s lineup.
UFC officials today announced the bout.
UFC Fight Night 72 takes place July 18 at SSE Hydro in Glasgow. FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass are expected to carry the card.
It’s not clear where Holohan vs. Lee will be placed on the lineup.
Holohan, a 27-year-old Irishman, dropped from bantamweight to flyweight for his 2014 UFC debut, which resulted in a submission victory over Josh Sampo to push his unbeaten streak to 11 fights. He then dropped a decision to Chris Kelades but picked up a $50,000 “Fight of the Night” bonus in the process. In his most recent bout, Holohan rebounded from that first career loss and scored a decision victory over Shane Howell back in January.
He now meets Lee, who’s rotated wins and losses during his seven-fight UFC career. Although he’s failed to put together back-to-back wins in the UFC, the 32-year-old has lost only to notable names: now-champ T.J. Dillashaw, former title challenger Chris Cariaso, contender Raphael Assuncao and hard-hitting Iuri Alcantara.
