UFC officials on Tuesday confirmed a fight between Mairbek Taisumov and Tae Hyun Bang for UFC Fight Night 34 slated for Jan. 4 in Singapore.
MMAWeekly.com had previously reported the bout.
Taisumov (20-4) is an Austrian fighter with a penchant for finishing his opponents. He’s knocked out or TKO’d his opposition in 10 of his victories, while submitting nine others.
Taisumov has spent the majority of his career fighting for M-1 Global, and is riding a three-fight winning streak into Singapore.
Bang (16-7) is a South Korean fighter that has gone 2-1 in his three most recent fights. He spent a large amount of his career fighting in Japan, but most recently competed under the Top FC and Road FC banners in his home country.
A welterweight bout between Tarec Saffiedine and Hyun Gyu Lim headlines the card, after Saffiedine’s original opponent, Jake Ellenberger, had to withdraw due to an injured hamstring.
