Nick Catone vs. TJ Waldburger On Tap for Ultimate Fighter 16 Finale

The Ultimate Fighter Season 16 Finale will feature coaches Shane Carwin and Roy Nelson going at it, as well as the finals of the show, but the finale already has another bout on the docket.

Nick Catone on Saturday announced via his Twitter account that he would be squaring off with TJ Waldburger on the card.

“Looking forward to my next fight December 15th in Vegas, TUF 16 Finale against TJ Waldburger. 11 weeks till go time!!” he tweeted.

After having fought up at middleweight, Catone (9-3) is dropping to welterweight for the fight with Waldburger. Catone has had mixed results in the UFC, amassing a 3-3 record in the Octagon.

He enters this fight coming off of a loss to Chris Camozzi at UFC on FX 4 in late June.

Waldburger (15-7) has a similar 3-2 record in the Octagon, and is also coming off of a loss as he enters the fight with Catone. Waldburger lost a decision to Brian Ebersole, also on the June 22 UFC on FX 4 fight card.
