Matt Riddle has been forced out of his upcoming fight against Matt Brown at UFC on Versus 3 in March due to a hand injury.

Riddle’s withdraw from the fight was confirmed to MMAWeekly.com by sources close to the fighter on Thursday. Versus.com initially reported the change.

Riddle was already stepping in on short notice when original opponent Mark Scanlon was forced to pull out of the fight earlier this month.

The former “Ultimate Fighter” competitor was looking to bounce back from a UFC 124 loss to Sean Pierson, but it appears he’ll have to wait a bit longer for that redemption.

No word yet on who will step in to face Brown, but he is expected to remain on the March 3 card set to go down in Louisville, KY.
