Lion Fight 27 video: Tiffany Van Soest's latest triumph, Jared Papazian's muay Thai debut

In addition to Bellator and Victory FC events, Friday’s slate of combat sports included the latest offering from the Lion Fight muay Thai promotion.

Lion Fight 27, which aired on AXS TV from Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula, Calif., featured a few competitors with MMA ties.

Former UFC and WSOF fighter Jared Papazian, who earned a “Fight of Night” bonus in his 2012 loss to Tim Elliott, made his pro muay Thai debut but struggled against fellow lightweight (132 pounds) Travis Clay.

Additionally, accomplished striker Tiffany Van Soest, who’s hinted at a possible return to MMA, continued her muay Thai success and picked up a second belt by defeating Ashley Nichols in a super bantamweight (120 pounds) title fight.
