Former “Ultimate Fighter” winner Kendall Grove returns to action at UFC 130 in May facing Tim Boetsch in a bout on the night’s undercard.
The UFC announced the new fight on Monday.
The fight may end up being a ‘win or go home’ type match-up for the two fighters who are both coming off losses in their last bouts.
Grove (12-8) has gone 3-3 in his last six bouts, alternating between wins and losses. He is currently coming off a defeat to grappling wizard Demian Maia from December 2010.
Meanwhile, Tim Boetsch (12-4) looks to stave off any thoughts of leaving the UFC again after battling his way back to the promotion in 2010. Boetsch was released from the UFC following a loss to Jason Brilz in 2009, but earned his way back with three straight wins outside the promotion.
After defeating Todd Brown in his return bout, Boetsch was submitted by rising star Phil Davis in the 2nd round of their fight at UFC 123 last year.
The bout between Grove and Boetsch is currently slated as a preliminary fight on the UFC 130 card.
