Ken Shamrock fired up after Bellator 138 press conference with 'poser' Kimbo Slice

Ken Shamrock is no stranger to a bit of theatrics in building up a fight.

A veteran of WWE, Shamrock (28-15-2 MMA, 0-0 ) has used professional wrestling promotional tactics in building up some of the biggest fights in his legendary career. With the right dance partner, Shamrock can make for some real spectacle – such as was the case in his UFC bouts with Tito Ortiz.

Shamrock is set to face Kevin “Kimbo Slice” Ferguson (4-2 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) at Bellator 138. Many people feel that Slice represents the right kind of opponent for an old school Shamrock build-up.

Bellator 138 takes place June 20 at Scottrade Center in St. Louis. Slice vs. Shamrock headlines the Spike TV-televised main card, which follows prelims on MMAjunkie.

Shamrock was fired up after some heated moments during today’s press conference in St. Louis and didn’t hold back on sharing his feelings about Slice.

“All the things that were said that just disrespected me,” Shamrock said. :The guy’s not even in a league with me. I mean, I started from the beginning with bareknuckle. I fought four times in one night. I won Japan. I won The States. I’ve got some friggin’ poser up here standing and trying to be a tough guy, showing no respect whatsoever. He’s a punk. If I don’t finish him in the first round I’ll be disappointed with myself.”

Check out the rest of Shamrock’s reaction in the video above.
