Joe Lauzon on potential UFC 200 bloodbath with Diego Sanchez: 'Pack a poncho'

When it comes to his upcoming UFC bout with fellow veteran Diego Sanchez, Joe Lauzon has a sense of humor – and some advice for event attendees.

Lauzon (25-11 MMA, 12-8 UFC) and Sanchez (26-8 MMA, 15-8 UFC) were recently added to the blockbuster UFC 200 event, which takes place July 9 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The main card airs on pay-per-view, but the Lauzon vs. Sanchez lightweight bout will likely help bolster the prelims on FOX Sports 1 or UFC Fight Pass.

The fighters are known well for a few things: exciting and hard-fought performances, frequent fight-night bonuses (they have 23 between them), and a propensity to gush blood once in the octagon.

That fact wasn’t lost on Lauzon (via Facebook), who suggested UFC 200 attendees should “pack a poncho”:
