If Gina Carano (7-1) is planning a return to MMA competition, she certainly isn’t slowing her acting career in preparation.

Radar Films recently announced Carano’s addition to the film, which also stars Jean-Claude Van Damme and WWE superstar Dave Bautista.

“It will be fun to watch Gina as the sneaky and dangerous temptress, a boa constrictor of this fighting jungle,” Radar Films’ Ted Field stated. “Watch out kickboxers!”

Production on the remake of the 1989 cult classic began this past week. Filming takes place in New Orleans, as well as Thailand.

St-Pierre’s involvement in the film was announced earlier this year.

Carano’s name has been mention multiple times over the past several years, with talks really heating up in 2014 as a potential opponent for UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey. In August, UFC President Dana White indicated a deal to bring Carano to the UFC was ‘close,’ but the contract never came to fruition.

Carano hasn’t fought professionally since August 2009, when she suffered a first-round TKO loss to Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino under the Strikeforce banner.
