An announcement is expected on Saturday from the UFC and Strikeforce regarding the upcoming bout.
Sources close to the fight confirmed to MMAWeekly.com on Saturday that both fighters have signed their bout agreements, and it will be announced this weekend.
MMAWeekly.com first reported on Friday that bout agreements had been issued in the long talked about fight, and now all the ‘i’s’ have been dotted, and the ‘t’s’ have been crossed.
The bout between Fedor and Henderson will take place on July 30 at the Sears Center in Chicago, headlining the next major Strikeforce card.
Fedor enters the fight on his first ever two fight losing streak, and will definitely be looking to get back on track when he returns to the cage. Henderson enters on the opposite end of the spectrum, winning his last two fights in a row, but moving up in weight for the chance to face the Russian legend in Strikeforce.
More fights are expected to be announced for the July 30 fight card in the coming weeks, but Strikeforce middleweight Tim Kennedy is expected to be on the show as well against an opponent yet to be determined.
