Fedor, Lesnar Named to Business Week’s 'Power 100'

Fedor Emelianenko and Brock Lesnar were included among Business Week’s “Power 100” list on Wednesday, said the publication on its Web site.

The “Power 100” list recognizes athletes from all sports who “not only dominate their sport but also have the presence and personality to help sell billions of dollars' worth of goods and services every year.”

The 33-year-old Emelianenko, who is currently contracted by Strikeforce, earned the 82nd slot. UFC heavyweight champion Lesnar was 96 on the list.

The 33-year-old Emelianenko, who is ranked the No. 1 heavyweight in the world, is tentatively slated to face former UFC contender Fabricio Werdum at a Strikeforce event in April on CBS, In November, stopped Brett Rogers on strikes in the second round at Strikeforce’s first-ever CBS-televised event.

Lesnar, who’s battled a bout with diverticulitis since November, announced his summer return to the UFC last week on ESPN’s “Sportscenter.” The 32-year-old NCAA wrestling champion dominated former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir in their rematch at UFC 100 last July.

Also on the list, WBO welterweight boxing champion Manny Pacquiao was listed at No. 72, while Floyd Mayweather Jr. ranked at No. 91. Golfer Tiger Woods, whose 2009 earnings were listed at $103 million, topped the list.

Emelianenko and Lesnar’s 2009 earnings were not listed.
