Anderson Silva defends his middleweight title in July, but on Tuesday he’ll show off a little of his lighter side.
Silva (33-4 MMA, 16-0 UFC) headlines UFC 162 against top middleweight contender Chris Weidman (9-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) in July. He’ll be going after his 17th straight UFC win, 18th straight overall and 11th straight title defense.
On Tuesday, FUEL TV premieres its latest in the “UFC: From All Angles” series with a one-on-one conversation with the Brazilian regarded as the world’s best fighter.
“Anderson Silva: From All Angles” airs Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. ET immediately following “UFC Tonight.” The episode will replay throughout the week, as will a past episode of the show featuring former light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans.
UFC 162 takes place July 6 at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas with Silva-Weidman in the main event. It will be the second straight time Silva has headlined the UFC’s annual Independence Day weekend show in Las Vegas. At UFC 148 in July 2012, Sonnen defended his title against Chael Sonnen in their rematch.
In Tuesday’s episode, Silva talks about his sense of humor and says he has joked about being the “black Dana White” due to their shared shaved-head and clothing sensibilities.
