A welterweight matchup between Claudio Henrique da Silva (10-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Neil Magny (10-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC) has been added to next month’s UFC Fight Night 43 event.
UFC officials today announced the new matchup.
Featuring a middleweight headliner of Nate Marquardt vs. James Te Huna, “UFC Fight Night 43: Te Huna vs. Marquardt” takes place June 28 at Vector Arena in Auckland, New Zealand.
The entire event streams in the U.S. on UFC Fight Pass, though a bout order has not yet been revealed.
Brazilian da Silva made his UFC debut as a middleweight, scoring a decision win over Brad Scott this past March. He now moves down to 170 pounds for this matchup, where he’ll look to keep a 10-fight winning streak.
Meanwhile, Magny wastes little time booking his next appearance after earning a decision win over Tim Means at this past weekend’s UFC Fight Night 40 event. With a two-fight winning streak to his name, Magny will now have just seven weeks between fights.
