“At the end of the day, Dana (White), he has a business here. It was his vision, and he owes it to himself to make as much money as he can, and it seems like that’s what he’s doing.”

That’s how UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones responded when MMAjunkie recently visited to Team Jackson-Winkeljohn in New Mexico to ask him about a variety of topics, including the state of UFC sponsorships.

“I’m happy where I’m at,” the Nike-sponsored fighter said. “I’ve worked really hard to get where I’m at, and it’s just part of the life cycle. It’s a dog-eat-dog world out there, and you’ve just got to go get it.”

Check out the full conversation above, which also includes Jones’ thoughts on Daniel Cormier (and his “inspirational” weight loss), Patrick Cummins and a potential future at heavyweight.

And catch Jones (19-1 MMA, 13-1 UFC) in action on April 26 when he meets Glover Teixeira (22-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC) in UFC 172's pay-per-view headliner.

Dana White wants everyone to know that business is booming in UFC land. In fact, it's 'never been bigger.' One of the more consistent narratives in MMA for 2014 has been the UFC's declining business. While we don't know any specific numbers for UFC 174, the early talk is that it did less than 100,000 pay-per-view buys, a number that seemed unthinkably low in very recent years. Jon Jones hasn't developed into a star capable of pulling much more than 350,000 buys, despite being a freakish talent w read news >>
