Cancelled Flights Ground UFC 195 Co-Main Eventer Stipe Miocic

Cancelled flights have grounded UFC 195 co-main eventer Stipe Miocic, who is scheduled to fight Andrei Arlovski on Saturday.

With severe weather hitting several parts of the United States in recent days, cancelled flights and delayed flights are commonplace. The delays for Miocic will force him to miss Wednesday’s UFC 195 open workouts, which is open to fans.

Without Miocic, the workouts are narrowed down to main eventers Robbie Lawler and Carlos Condit, plus Arlovski.

StipeMiocic-UFConFOX10-postpress-750A UFC official told MMAWeekly.com that there were no concerns that Miocic wouldn’t eventually be able to make it to Las Vegas. As of the time of publication, it appears he will only miss the workouts, and should be in Sin City in time for Thursday’s media day and Friday’s weigh-in.

Miocic and Arlovski are squaring off in a pivotal heavyweight bout, which should put the winner in a solid position to challenge for the UFC heavyweight championship in the near future.
