Cage Warriors signs featherweight prospect Nad Narimani to five-fight deal

nad-narimani.jpgDespite a loss in his Cage Warriors debut, Nad Narimani impressed company officials enough to stick around long-term.

Narimani (5-1) has signed a five-fight deal with the England-based promotion and now will look to start a new winning streak in the featherweight division. Cage Warriors officials on Friday announced the news.

Narimani, a 26-year-old Brit, debuted with the promotion in July. But he dropped a hard-fought split decision to the highly regarded Graham Turner at Cage Warriors 56 in London. That loss snapped a five-fight win streak for Narimani, who won the first three fights of his pro career by stoppage with a pair of submissions and a TKO.

Before signing with Cage Warriors, he picked up a pair of decision wins under the Fight UK banner, including one in April over onetime “Ultimate Fighter” hopeful Karsten Lenjoint.

“I can’t wait to get back in there for Cage Warriors to make a statement,” Narimani stated. “I’m really happy to have signed with such a good show.”

Narimani’s signing comes on the heels of Cage Warriors inking a handful of other new deals, including Saul Rogers, Danny Lawson, Fabio Ferrari and three unbeaten prospects.

Narimani’s next bout is not yet known, but the promotion returns later this month for Cage Warriors 58 in Chechnya, returns to Wales in September, London and Bahrain in October and Dagestan in November.
