With just two days to go until the biggest event in Bellator history, company CEO Bjorn Rebney will visit the NASDAQ MarketSite in Times Square to ring the NASDAQ Stock Market Closing Bell.
Rebney will be in attendance at the NASDAQ MarketSite from 3:45 p.m. to 4 p.m. EST on Thursday for the ceremony.
Bellator 106 takes place on Saturday, Nov. 2, at Long Beach Arena in Long Beach, Calif. The fight cards features three title fights, as well as the final bout of the Fight Master reality show.
The event was originally slated to be the company’s first pay-per-view event, featuring Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Tito Ortiz in the main event. That bout was scrapped when Ortiz suffered a fractured neck and had to withdraw from the fight.
Bellator and majority owner Viacom then decided to shift gears and make the remaining card available on free television on Spike TV, saving the promotion’s pay-per-view debut for another time.
A highly anticipated rematch between Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler and former titleholder Eddie Alvarez now headlines the card on Spike.
