Bellator 76 TV Ratings Up on the Strength of Eddie Alvarez Bout

Friday night’s Bellator 76 drew an average audience of 175,000 viewers, according to industry sources.

That is a slight rebound over Bellator 75, which drew just 145,000 viewers. Bellator 76 represented a 121-percent increase from week to week.

Bellator 76 was the third event of the promotion’s seventh season, which kicked off with Bellator 74. The premier event has been the top draw of the three, opening the season with an audience of 190,000 viewers.

Bellator 76 featured popular former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez in the night’s main event. He was fighting out the final bout on his current Bellator contract.

Alvarez provided a highlight reel knockout of Patricky “Pitbull” Freire to either leave fans with a lasting impression in his sendoff or perhaps entice Bellator to make him an offer he can’t refuse.

This is Bellator’s final season on MTV2. The promotion picks up and moves over to Spike TV in January, filling the MMA void created with the UFC signing on with the Fox family of networks.

Bellator Season 7 TV Ratings:

Bellator 74: 190,000 viewers
Bellator 75: 145,000 viewers
Bellator 76: 175,000 viewers
