Bellator 162 highlights: Alexander Shlemenko's crippling liver shot, Bobby Lashley's brutal beatdown

In the headliner, Alexander Shlemenko (54-9 MMA, 12-3 BMMA) made a successful return to the Bellator cage, where after an entertaining first round, the former middleweight champion used a crippling liver shot to set up a TKO win over Kendall Grove (23-16 MMA, 4-3 BMMA).

In the co-headliner, former WWE star and streaking heavyweight Bobby Lashley (15-2 MMA, 5-0 BMMA) put a beatdown on Josh Appelt (12-6 MMA, 3-2 BMMA).

Also on the card, lightweight Goiti Yamauchi (20-3 MMA, 6-2 BMMA) quickly tapped out Ryan Couture (10-5 MMA, 2-2 BMMA), and middleweight Hisaki Kato (7-2 MMA, 1-2 BMMA) emerged victorious from a slugfest with A.J. Matthews (8-6 MMA, 4-4 BMMA).
